Anyone reupholster the suede in the car? If so, can we see some photos or "how to" info? Thanks.

I can't imagine why any good upholstery shop wouldn't tackle the job of replacing the ecsaine in an SVX. Then again, I've never taken apart the dash...

I'm actually in the middle of removing the ecsaine. Once I'm finished, I'll post some before and after photos.

I'll be following this closely as I have to replace the escaine on the door panels. Where are you ordering the escaine from?

the peice on the main part of the passenger dash is a major pain in the ass to remove. Just a heads up
A good iea would probly be to look for an extra set of ecsaine panels and send them out to be reupholstered. This will prevent you from having your interior apart for an undetermined amount of time, plus you can just re-sell your unreupholstered peices to someone looking to do the same thing

I'm replacing it with faux leather. It's easier to clean.

I took the dash apart and all the ecsaine off. The passenger side dash was almost impossible to take apart. I picked up some material on E-bay. I'm very handy with paper hanging and wrapping but this was tough!! I decided to go to an upholders shop. I was told you need special auto/marine fabric that stretches and a molding machine that heats the fabric to bend into shape. Because I did all the hard part removing everything, the fabric with the labor was only $150. It should be done by the end of the month. I'll post photos once I get it back.
