The inaugural Historic Racing Event will be held as a week long event July 29 -August 5, 2006 comprised of two major components. Beginning on Sunday July 30, the 'Utah Fast Pass' will be a four day high speed touring event of 900 miles through the scenic mountains and valleys surrounding Salt Lake City. This event is focused on two groups - Modern Super Cars and Historic road legal Sports Cars. During a special segment of this event, the Utah Highway Patrol will use radar to clock highest speeds attained by each participant and issue authentic State Patrol citations for payment with proceeds donated to a designated charity. This event will culminate with on track sessions for these cars on Wednesday followed by a Gala event party for all honoring those departing and the Historic racers arriving.
