Looks like Rob is very offended with me agreeing that he was being a snob over on nabisco. He IM'ed me last night on my phone saying that he wasn't being a snob and he was being humerous and that i was passing judgement on someone i don't know. Then as soon as i signed onto AIM this morning he Im's me with " hi so how am i a snob"......gimme a break...there are more people on here who think worse of you than i do.

They had to cut it into three pieces and reverse the middle section to get the angle right. If they left it original, I don't think they would have room for the turbo... and if they simply turned it around they would have to cut a big whole out of the hood. This will also aid in keeping the charged air that much cooler, and simplify plumbing...

I think it was a great idea! I think they can do it.

Really? interesting. But if they were going through all that trouble, why not make it into two separate manifolds with shorter area between the intake ports and throttle butterfly. Or even better 6 butterflys right where the manifold meets the fuel rail dealie. That'd be awesome responsive.

They are probably going to keep the IRIS to provide the bottom end torque that the turbo lacks. In turning the center around, the port runners now point away from the throttle bodies. Takes a bit away from the Inerta flow.
But if thats what you gota do, you gota do it.
