Looks really clean but

I looked at the bid history and noticed that the first bidder outbid himself by $750? Just seems wierd. I'm guessing it's the dealership or a buddy who is raising the price for the next bidder. If I could have it for $3800, I'd be driving to TX right now. Ebay frustraits me in this way, besides, who would buy a car they havent driven or seen in person?

did you notice that the bid started at 1000$, then the guy bid 3000$ and then 750$ more, all by himself. The internet just wasnt meant for some people.

yeah i though abou that but i dont have reserves on my auctions. i fig its to deture others from bidding. i guess they thing the people only read the number of bids and not the details.

My dad bought his 3000GT VR-4 sight unseen. I thought he was a crackhead for doing it, but it was a good price and the car 'looked good.' It turned out to be a great purchase for him... so who knows?

Maybe I should go for the $2000 '92 SVX that I saw on Autotrader for sale in CT, sight unseen. :-)

Why not?

Actually I have bought 3 cars (2-SVXs) and 2 pickups on Ebay and all have turned out fine. Most better than expected and one as good as expected. Only one was from an individual and it was the most questionable.

I have been shafted while buying SVX parts from individuals though.

Here's how it works...

say the current bid is $300.
I want the car and bid $5000:
the bid will show me as the winner with a bid of $305.

If someone else bids $1000 the bid will show ME as the winner at $1005
If the guy bids again at $1500 I'll still be the winner at $1505. the guy has to bid over $5005 to get his name up.

Hope this helps
92 pearly e-bay car!

Collins
new guy again
