tranny?diff?

how can u tell if u have a bad front diff or bad tranny or both? she shakes she bangs she will not hold still in park

Sounds like the diff to me. (the whole "not holding in park" thing)

Elaborate on the not holding in park thing. You can always put the fwd fuse in and see what happens. If the front dif is toasted. It won't go anywhere.

It's possible that the front diff is completely stripped out meaning the front wheels are now free to roll regardless of which gear it's in.
