I guess i'm a bad example because i don't really play games. I do lots of CAD, 3D StudioMax and Alias. When I do require motion, as long as my card can do 30fps minimum, i'm happy. I'd rather 1280x1024 at 30fps than 1024x768 at 80fps.

thats a good point i myself do a little level editing in Half life and some game play but i mostly record and mix/edit music. since i have a integrated sound card i use my cpu for all of this and temps do go up. mastering a 8 min track in clombia lp eq with tremlo takes about 10 seconds vrs. my old comp which if it did not crash would take 30-40 min.

ok i put in a 600 watt psu with the proper 24 pin mobo plug and the proper 6 pin plug for the pci x card. works great i got most of the water ooling blocks from newegg today (cpu and mobo) and i should get the koolance exos and the nvidia cooler eather friday or monday. im probably going to macgyver peltier device for the ram cooling because without fans in my computer their wont be any airflow to keep the stock heat spreaders working. but we will see after the water cooler is in and working.
