Sugarbowl Sunday – Sweet car dude!

I came back from skiing at Sugarbowl (Tahoe) on Sunday. I found ‘Sweet car dude!’ written in the dirt on my front windshield and ‘check out www.subaru-svx.net’ written in the dirt on the top of my car. Just in case you couldn’t figure it out, my car was pretty dirty. It was clean before I left for the slopes. I swear.

I took a quick drive around the parking lot looking for another SVX, but couldn’t find one. Rats. I couldn’t leave a rely.

Funny thing is another member spotted my car in South Tahoe a couple of years ago and was going to leave a message, but didn’t have time. I met him at a SVX meet later that year. We get together for a beer and discuss our cars (among other things) every month or so. So, to whoever left the message, thanks for the info but as you can tell from my membership, I found this place a while back. I even post sometimes. If you are in the Reno/Tahoe or Bay Area, let me know. You deserve a beer for spreading the word about the svx-network.

Cheers, Matt

To tell all you are a member of the network, you need an svx world network sticker on your wind shield

You need to find out who did that and smack him for scratching your paint.

Ha! If you saw my paint, you might change your mind. The interior of the car is great shape, but the exterior has been though a lot.

ha!

That is hilarious!

i would never have thought that i would actually see this!

I was so stoked to see an SVX i couldnt resist!

I was in the 4runner parked next to you with my buddy, and i was like "OH **** that is a sick car!"
i was explaining to him how sweet a car it was and how rare it was and how you had the bored/slotted rotors and how it was designed by italdesign's guigario, and many other tidbids etc, he didnt seem to care but i was totally into it!

(not to mention i was already a few beers deep myself and i just had to spread the word!)

i was diggin the suede inserts on the seats and the leather on the dash, like none other SVX i had seen!

that is totally cool that you are already a member.

I figured someone with such good tastes in cars should be let in on the best little secret on the net, that is, if they didnt already know .

Im glad that someone with such a capable car is actually using it for what it was made for : SKI / SNOWBOARDING TRIPS!

I live in auburn, but frequent the slopes several times a week.
I usually ride at Alpine Meadows, but sugar bowl is nice too.

We should totally get together and have a beer or two (or ten
) sometime!

i dont actually own an SVX, but i am practically obsessed with them and i am getting one SOON.
my old '93 f-150 has about 273K on it and is on its death bed...

do you ski or snowboarD?

anyway, see you around!

totally stoked,
JJ
