Question code #34 help

Does anybody know what part throws a trouble code #34 EGR Solenoid Valve Inoperative. http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...category=081-A

I would suggest resetting the ecu and seeing if the code pops up again. I've had that code once before. Reset and it never came back. Its always good to make sure before you start spending money

I would say then, it is either item one or seven. There is a way to physically check if the valve is working properly, but I forget how. Hopefully someone else will chime in...

Significant Technical Input Registered SVX
Code 34, EGR.

If the ECU has set a code, then it has to be the EGR solenoid that turns the EGR valve, on and off. That is the only thing that the ECU would know about.

It is located, er, um, don't know.
