I was driving home from getting a new camera (my old one was stolen out of my car) and it was very foggy. I hit a huge possum which ripped off half of my lip spoiler.

Ouch. that sucks dude. Quick, sell me your car for $1000 so it quits getting hurt.

Hey, at least its just the lip spoiler. I mean, those are pretty cheap in the scheme of things. Question: You just got your car repainted... is the front end already that 'sandblasted' from debris?

That's just dirt for the most part, rob. Here is a pic of the front with the car clean. I actually had the car detailed yesterday but it rained.

Ah. Cool. Anyway, you'll get it looking badass in no time at all. I have 'faith' in you.

G'luck with fixing it! And yeah, at least it was only a tiny critter.

I bet the opossum was out on the road picking up cigarette butts and gum wrappers.

i do believe that you were in a time of bad luck yourself...who knows that some crazed granny with a tailer hitch wouldn't get to it...

Mike, i can't view the pics at work...but i am sorry to hear about this...and where i come from possoms are "space rats" damn things refuse to stay out of the road..

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

This might sound nutty to some of you, but it doesn't really look that 'bad'. I mean, yeah, its broken, and right now, my 1/4 panel is smashed. On the other hand, it kinda makes them look really really badass. The SVX is all "Oh man, I'm kinda dented right here, but you know what? I can still kick your ass and go 120mph because I'm just that badass RAR!" heh. Ex: Mike, your car has never looked more 'get out of my way' til now. I'm not saying you shouldn't fix it.... you should. But there's an element of total 'i don't care what I look like I'm still an AWD sports car thats faster than you' that you can at least learn to appreciate until you get it fixed.

I nailed a possum outside of Tulsa with my Triumph Spitfire (in my younger days). The cheap and ugly plastic bumpers of my model year saved me from any damage.

Possums should be banned from the motorways because they are nocturnal, slow and stupid. To make things worse, I understand that their only defense when surprised is to jump straight up into the air.

Turkey Season

I almost got the Thanksgiving turkey early this year. I was coming home and when I came around a corner there was 8 turkeys crossing the street. Would have been interesting to exsplain to the insurance company.
