Torn CV boot

Hey all,

Changing the brake pads all around on the '92 SVX this afternoon and two things. The front passenger boot for the cv axle was missing about 50% to the front side, is there an immediate problem with driving this way and how difficult is this to change myself and how long would a shop take. Second, the ABS light stays on and I can't figure out why. The fuses are fine and the connectors at the hub look perfect. any suggestions? BTW, where is the best place to order a new complete front axle ?

thanks,

Tdog

Supposedly, it's cheaper to get the damn thing remanufactured than it is to buy a new one. Let me guess, it came out to this:

New Brake Pads
New Rotors Front (L/R)
New Front Left CV Boot

And a whack of other crapola that showed up. Best Advice: GET IT DONE NOW SO YOU HAVE MONEY LATER ON WHEN SOMETHING ELSE BREAKS.

Trust me, i'm living it right now.

P.S. Anyone interested in buying an upper driver's side BLUE tinted window? Will accept trade for bronze.
