G'Day James,

Why do you ask about when I had the transmission last rebuilt??

Call me paranoid or something, but after reading all the posts about tranny problems and vehicle weight, the idea of standing start drags scares me a bit
Maybe I'm still getting used to the car, I don't mind blasting past someone up hill or pulling out to overtake quickly, but I'm prepared to sacrifice a second or so off the lights to ease up on the box a bit
All the same, I must say I was impressed with the result against the CLK (5.0lt? OMG!)
Just having a look in your locker, and found a yellow shot

Was this taken in Sydney? looks like a NSW rego sticker.
Arthur.

Normally I try a rolling start for the very reason you cited...and rarely do drags racing (too heavy) but use the old...70kph, slam accelerator, green light of POWER for go and yeeeeeehhaaaaaaa

But we can't have that Merc showing us up now can we! Throw in some corners and we'll see how it goes!

Yep, that yellow one was a Subaru Press car...there is another article on it on my site:

Oh, and for yellow SVX's in general:
