SouthEastern Meet..... Who, When and where???

For all interested in a meet in the Southeastern area, this is the starter thread for just that!!!! This is just a brian storm at the moment but here's what I am thinking......

Where: Somewere in either SC, GA, or NC....... I think it would be cool to have it near Matt in Greenville, S.C. So if there are no other offers, that could be the place of contace

When: I am thinking around the end of May or the first few weeks in June......

What: How 'bout a BBQ and a Tech session...... I should have my 5-speed ordered by then!!!! Whoo hoo!!!!

If you are interested in something around that time frame and near Greenville put your name below.....

1. GreenMarineSVX

This could be our chance to set up something for the south... Kinda like our own "Reading Meet".... Still have to work out somethings with Matt and Harry but if there are some people interested then we'll do it!!!!! I will keep ya informed here!!!!

My vote's with NC

Green --
I'm there if you can make it happen in the northern half of NC. Shouldn't be too much longer of a drive then to Reading. NC would put the meet well within the Maryland/Virginia/D.C. "zone" -- (should I throw Kentucky in here too, Randy?)

I talked with Bill (SVXer) the other day about trying another "Smokies Meet", he said if there was enough interest we'd give it a go, so would the Smokies be close enough?

As for NC, The Big all Subaru Meet at the "Dragon" Deal's Gap is next month, I'm planning on being there, as are a couple others, we could have a small sanction of the "SVX World Network" present to show the WRX guys they don't have the coolest Subie ever made (maybe the fastest...but that's another story ).

Let me know what you guys think.

Dragon Deal's Gap?

Huck,
Map Quest isn't any help when I type in "Dragon Deal Gap"
Can you say a little more about this meet? Day(s), location, etc.
thanks.
-Bill

I'm always in for a meet - especially when it's this close. Smokies is a good location, Greenville has some good places to drive, Atlanta - we could go to Andretti speed labs!

I'm also going to the dragon so that weekend it out for another meet.

I'm afraid I have too much going on the last of May/First of June time frame. Of course, if it were truly up to me, I'd be at every meet that was held throught the U.S., but, there are those stupid "reality" factors that keep putting a kink in things: Family, Work, Money.

Well how bout this.... Since there are a few of us that are goig to the Dragon Lets just make that the meet that we go to and represent for the SVX's.... I am all about makingg our own meet but it would be alot easier to just attach our selves to the NASIOC Meet ("The Dragon").... How about that??? So then Lets do a list for that..... I'm in for it and I think that Matt and Noir is too, anyone else????

1.GreenMarineSVX
2.Immortal_Suby
3.Noir
4.Porter

We will have to come up with a way of meeting up..... I think that Noir and Immortal_Suby and I are all comming up there together so anyone else should see us, two SVX's followed by a blue 2 door Jeep!!!

Which happens first in a jeep on pavement - do they spin out or go up on 2 wheels in a tight corner?

Well Stalker barks the tires through 2nd gear... Not enough torque after that to do any more..... Maybe that ACT 2600lb clutch would help!!!...... So Matt does it sound cool that Noir and I could meet up with ya in Greenville on that Friday before the Dragon???? Just give me an address and I'll pass it along to Noir and I'll tell ya how long it'll take me and what time I'll leave at... Thanks!!!! See ya soon!!!!

In tight turnes I think that it'd probably just roll...... But Stalker handles like no other Jeep I've ever driven!!! It really huggs the corners!!!! I was shocked the first time I drove it fast..... And that time that I chased the SVX down here, I think that was the only thing that was keeping me close to him.... The face that I copuld hug the corners and sometimes go off the inside sholder without having to worry about wrecking!!! It's really cool how Cherokee's are stiff like that and don't have much body roll....

Yeah, its cool to come up here friday. use 5 Lynn Rd. Taylors, SC 29687. That isn't my real address - the subdivision I live in is too new and doesn't show up in mapquest yet but that is basically the address of the entrance to it.
