Re: clear corner lights

I think they look really nice especially if you do the whole thing...

I am not sure if is it worth the $370ish dollars though.

Re: clear corner lights

My opinion of course, but they are way too clear if they are done in isolation, meaning the headlight lamps are left stock (new or used). To stark a contrast and breaks up the uniformity. Even new OEM headlamps aren't as clear as small car clear lenses.

Perhaps if you were to match the corners with small cars headlamp lenses it would resolve this problem, although I've read poor reviews on them as well. They too succumb to yellowing and are prone to pitting. Then of course you'd have to go with a body colored grill as opposed to the waterfall grille, again due to the uniformity issue.

Re: clear corner lights

Also, if you put LED blinkers in the corners they won't show yellow until they're on/blinking. Looks great.

Re: clear corner lights

such a nice looking pearly...but it's been sold and no longer look like that.

so smallcar lens is the only option?

i wonder how is the headlight output to the road, to the wall through the clear lens?

haven't seen one in person.

I would not do the clear corners if I were you, just the headlights. The problem with the SC corners is that they don't have a lip that you can press against the housing to make them fit properly. By time and age they will start leaking and might fall off the car.

Unfortunately, those corners were not "mastered" correctly by SC, they will show the ugly glue to the outside and make them look cheap.

Just my 2c...

Re: clear corner lights

It's not glue actually, it's kind of a foam padding outside the lens. Doesn't look bad at all. There is room for improvement with the overall fitment though. But still, mine do not leak after like 2 years. Headlight output is good, but I've also got HIDs.

Ifff you have pictures from inside the car on the road of the headlight output(low beam, high beam, with or without fog lights) and light pattern facing to the garage door( for clear lens headlight), please show me/us. Thanks.

Re: clear corner lights

Sorry, I don't have any such pictures. It'll be a while till I can get some as well, since the car is in the shop getting a 6-speed. At any rate, I don't have any before pictures since they were done before I owned the car. Having driven other SVXs with the stock headlights, I can say that my clear lenses + HIDs are much better. I'd bet that the HIDs are what make the most difference though.

IDK what you mean, but there are no front license plates in florida, so probably not.

Edit: But if we did have to have them, I'd get one of these: http://www.swiftmotorsports.com/prod...13a27a539a93bd
