I'm talking 4 wheels!

We must NOT try to compare cars and bikes.

I can take 4 people with me in my VW Rabbit in the rain and snow and get 50 mpg on the road! They will be warm and dry.

This thread was about a CAR. Ford never mass produced a BIKE!

Then specify that

I'd suspect those 4 people are about as comfortable as me in that thing as I am on a bike in the snow or rain.

Last time I checked Ford was sitting on the board of Yamaha, though I'm sure they wised up and sold off that profitable company long ago to buy another money loser.

Re: 65MPG Ford

Last I read it was around 50,000 square miles but Bush was "working" on getting it down with ethanol crops... Though that bloated pig of a farm bill that was passed a while back seems to contradict his "efforts".

I dumped my Ford stock at $10.98. It has not been that high since..

My wife hates the Rabbit, my daughter LOVES it..

How comfortable is the bike with 4 people sitting on your sholders.

Wanna play the game or not????

4 wheels, biggest mileage, at least room for 2 passengers and a driver. tagged and on the road. Gas, bio or diesel.
We can set this up for sept 2009. You can trailer the 'unit' to the test site.

MUST be internal combustion. ( No steam)

(You have to build it yourself.)
no 'new' cars! I cannot compete with a $1,000,000+ bankroll.

The 'budget' for the 'build' is $1,000. (not counting registration fees etc.)

WANNA PLAY???

$1,000 vehicle, 4 wheels, internal combustion, 2 passengers plus driver, choice of fuel and TAGGED in your state.

I'm ready.....

50 MPG PLUS!! That is the goal!!
I put this 'challenge' on another site. I also asked for sponsors to 'sweeten' the pot'.

C'mon!!! SOMEONE has to be interested!! I might just win by DEFAULT!!

Not me, I don't have a farm to store all my "projects" so I need to stick with smaller projects which I can stuff inside of my garage. Currently housing an SVX, 4 motorcycles, a real Rabbit not the German name stealers, 2 SVX engines and of course the beer refrig all inside of a 9.5x18 2 story garage.

I couldn't live in a 'COMMUNIST' Country!!

I only work 80 hours per week to have that place. The rest of the time I get to chose between playing with toys, sleeping or eating.

It is a 'Blessing' and a curse!

Sorry Ben. 11 months to go. tick, tick...
