My black '93 UK does not have them either Phil. Probably they were not standard then[in '92], but were an option.

You have resprayed in Mitsubishi blue. Nice colour, a bit like Laguna blue. What was it originally?

Was it originally registered in Holland?

I had a suspicion those hills were not in Holland.

Joe
It is originally registered in Germany, came to Holland in 2002 (due to certain taxes which ends after 100 months) The colour is sprayed at delevery to the first owner (see my first mail) The original colour is white, which can bee seen in the enginebay and in the trunk underneath the upholstery.

It has a drivers airbag (european, so smaller than the full size american airbag).

That's interesting, Rinus.

One of our members Nomake Wan translated documents from the Japanese website that state the German market got SVXs with the American type gearbox, 90:10, while the Austrian market and others got the VTD type [65:35]. Check the list he made of the translation here:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...67&postcount=4

Are you certain yours is the VTD type if it came from Germany?

Joe

I don't know the answer to that Rinus. We don't have enough info on VIN differences just yet, that's another job to do.

There is a much easier way to know; at the back of your engine, right hand side, there is a dipstick for the differential. [deep down, hard to get to] On the US type gearbox there is a connector right beside that dip stick. It is the second speed sensor, two wires coming from it.

In the UK and Euro type VTD box, both speed sensors are inside the box.

If you have got this sensor there it is likely you have the ACT-4 gearbox.

If you haven't a sensor there it's 100% certain you have the VTD type.
