Hey Amanda,
So I see you posted a thread on your decision . Well, to me, it looks good, though if I got it, that would be the most expensive SVX I would purchase. I got the pearly for $2700, the ebony for $2000, and Mr. Makalii's porsche red for $1200 (and I think it's the nicest one). The other Claret for $1500 you were talking about would be a better buy right? How bad/good of a condition is it? If you're not gonna get it (being that you might ask the I-club dudes if anyone wants to buy it), maybe I might have to make room for a fourth one, hehehe . Like silver spear said...

Good luck on the decision. Remember that if you have 2 of them, you only drive each half as far.

Mr. Makili's red???!!! Is that the 95 w/ the 5sp? Are you fing ishing me!??!?!! I am SOOOOOOO JEALOUS! Anyways...I am gonna go on the 15th (payday) and aply for a loan to buy the 92 at the dealership I am going to start bargaining at $2000 and see how low I can go because the listed selling price is 3995...not worth it here in Hawaii...As for the other 93 I found for 1500 I'd say its a fair price. When I was looking at the car the owner said he would go as low as 1000 if I could pay cash. The body is straight I only noticed one small dent on the p/s bottom front quarter panel. The interios had average wear and tear...the driver seat was pretty bad, but overall it was satisfactory for that year. The hood has what appears to be heat damage. The car started, but sounded kinda crappy, but the idle was good. He said the noise was the bearing (rear ones I'm sure) The high pressure power steering hose was leaking. They cost around 150 I forgot the exact and because the 92s don't have that weird metal hose clamp that you need the crimping tool for you can prolly do it yourself. There was a lot of oil EVERYWHERE! So def. need an engine overhual on gaskets and seals. I find quite a few leaking hoses..easy do-it-yourself fix as well. Master window switch is sticky...prolly take it off and clean it gtg! The d/s corner light has a hairline crack in the cover...There were no dents in the oil pan. The a/c compressor needs replacing as well as the drive belts they were all dry rotted. Still has the spare tire and tools and even original Subaru SVX brochure lol I was gonna offer him 20 bucks for those and I prolly still will so don't count on those being there if you buy the car Overall I think 1000 is a fair price. The car runs, but its def. gonna be a project to fix it. I am gonna send him my email later so he can send me pics and I will post them online cause I told him I would help find a good home for it!

Nice car, i would imagine most SVX's in Hawaii would be low milage though, wouldn't they? I mean, how far can you drive?

Well if you do circles around the island then you can drive forever! lol No but seriously depending where you live. Its takes 2hrs give or take to get around the island and some places are secluded enough that you do have quite a drive to get to the grocery store shopping etc. So it is possible. By the way Jarek the other 92 has 113k no tranny probs yet, but it hasn't been worked on before fyi
