How to remove upper dash cover?

I have done the diligent search for dash removal and looked in the How To's. All I can find is how to remove the instrument cluster (dash facing driver).

I want to replace the dash on the top (if I can find one-grey without passenger side air bag-92 LSL). It looks like someone either had it 1. Parked in the Arizona desert for years; 2. Had something glued down and then ripped it off or; 3. Smeared a harsh chemical stripper all over it.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a diagram that shows the locations of all the screws/bolts/connectors?

Eric

Bump,

Anyone?

How about this. I know the logical place to start will be to remove the dash cluster and all vents. How about any hidden screws beyond what it will take to remove the front dash assembly?

Eric

dash

the only way i have taken the dash out is in one piece. its alot of work, hidden bolts and nuts. your best bet would be to buy a dash cover to cover the uglyness. here is a pic of the dash i just took out of mine.

This might help

It's all one piece, you'll have to replace the whole dash, but here you go. This is out of the 92 factory service manual.

Actually I have never heard of a dash cracking even with the sun provided it has a stock windshield. There should be plenty of dashes available. Well, maybe the difficulty in removing them limits the availability.

Some time in the future, I may remove the dash from my parts car, but I have no plans immediately.

Check Ebay.

Thanks for all the assistance. It's always appreciated!
I've actually decided to go with the svx that doesn't have the interior issues (or electrical either).

You all deserve a round of applause!

Eric
