Can someone elaborate on the whole black paint thing? Does it have to be black and is there a certain type of paint to use?

My .02 cents

As far as all the talk about street racing and making SVXs lighter faster and 2 wheel drive my opinion is if you really wanna do all that then keep it on the drag strip!
Drifting? Well if you really wanna buy tires that often (who knows maybe you'll eventually get a regular customer discount) then HEY have at it!
I believe the SVX niche is in Rally and auto-x. I entered a LEGAL 300 mile 6hour street rally and my stock SVX not only outdrove the Lamborghini, but I was inches away from beating an ex Formula-1 racer driving one of those sporty Mercedes. I'm not even an awesome driver (well I am in my own mind
My point is...well ...that was it SVX kicks butt and takes names when driven in the right circumstances. Its not always about speed its about manuverability and driving skills...yeah...thats it!

I would have guessed that was pretty good. The highest Dyno plots I have seen for stock motors is very low 160's

Is the powdercoating on our manifolds hurting us do you think? I didn't notice if you stripped your manifold before painting it, Tom.

Matt black is best in order to radiate heat.

so as im getting this correct, the svx is not ment for drags or drift but in fact a cuircuit racer? i can agree with some people saying the svx is very good in handeling, i was in a empty neighbor hood (cuircuit style)with no houses... just new paved rodes... i was able to do 70 (not racing anyone) while going on a large curve.... my friends in their cars (fwd) were barly unable to obtain 50mph without the car sliding from under them.....

ps, sicksubie, how did your speeding ticket go for your ranger?

No-one disagreed with this or had any higher numbers to post. I guess 191whp takes the cake. Nice numbers BTW!!
