Door lock problem....

Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced problems unlocking the driver's side door with the key....?

Often when I go to unlock the door, the key is quite difficult to turn and when I release the key, the doors re-lock!

Sometimes, I can barely turn the key to the unlock position at all. The next time I unlock the doors, everything is back to normal!!

Any ideas?

I have the same problems some time.
But one day to another it works again. I don't know why.
If the door is closed first you have to turn the key into the closed direction, then to open (this one should work, but not help to solve the problem)

Hi Marty...

Yesterday, I took the lock apart only to find that a pivot inside the lock was worn.... To make a short story, I had to improvise and fabricate a new pivot using a solid rivet. It seems to work now.

Time will tell

My problem hasn't occured for a long time now. I hope it goes that way on.
