Correct, it is a 74. I had one and you can tell by the lack of black "rubber" bumper guards on each side of the front license plate. (In 1975-1977, they were actually molded into the front bumper and the surfaces painted flat black to resemble rubber)

It could also have been a 1973 (Had one of them also, identical to the 74 from the front) The back of the '73 still had the spoiler lip tail and the twin chrome bumpers. The '74 had the urethane rounded bumper with a center split.

My 74 was an agonizing 9 month wait to get. I had it custom painted at the St. Louis assembly plant and it was one of a kind. It was a very dark metallic green coupe with silver leather interior. (It was the first year for silver interior since 1966. I had a 66 coupe with silver interior, silver paint and the 36 gallon tank.... which costs less than $10.00 to fill completely)

One of my mechanics refers to my car as a "Japanese Corvette"

Nice imposter

It may be an imposter but my 18 year old son would take it. He's been drooling for a vette and now he has a good job he'll be even more keen to land one. I told him there is no way he can own one, until I have. lol.

He loves my new svx too. I have to hide my keys.

I'm more partial to the 1972 and older vettes. They just don't look right without the chrome front bumper.
