Question What is ASR ?

Hi folks,

I'e got a 94 FWD. I was looking through the manual the other day and it mentioned about the FWD and AT OIL TEMP lights on the dial above the temp gauge. Looking closely at this dial, i also see a light for ASR. I've never seen it come on, but i'm just wondering what it is. Couldn't find anything in the manual. Anybody know what ASR is ? Is it related to the AWD models somehow ?
Thanks
RB

I searched the archives and someone suggested that it stood for Automatic Seatbelt Retractors or Automatic Supplemental Restraint.

Take a look in my personal locker. I have a red 94 FWD. Mine was made in May.
