I don't know if any of you have wandered over to subaru.com lately but they have this "My Subaru" section for owners. When inquiring about why I couldn't register I got this message back.

Dear Matt,

It's not a matter of supporting the SVX - it's a matter of which model year vehicles we can support. We currently support 1995 and newer vehicles on My.Subaru.com (which includes SVX models in those model years.) Unfortunately, much of the information that we need to support older model
year vehicles is not available in an electronic format. We're working on obtaining and building what we can, but at this time, we're not sure when we'll be able to go back to vehicles older than the 1995 model year.

Thank you for your message.

Have any of you '95+ owners checked it out yet?

Subaru owner site

I just went over there and requested a PIN so that I could register. I should hear back in a few days, and I'll let you know when I get registered.
I wonder what goodies they offer to registered owners....maybe a certificate for one wheel bearing replacement?

Post Yeay! Finally registered

Well, they first gave me the old saw that the VIN didn't match the owner - duh, it's been sold since it was new. After faxing them my title certificate, I was able to register the car. I got some very, very useful info on this car. Like all the warranty service records that have been done by Subaru dealerships on it (COOL!) and any updates on recalls etc. Now I can post any "adventures" or stories I have. Hmmm, I'll have to select a good one, seeing as how I may be one of a very few SVX owners registered right now.
They're also working on a chat area where we can talk to people from SOA. Double cool.
I recommend everyone register who has a '95 or newer. They'll probably ask for verification of ownership if you bought yours used, but getting that service record info will be well worth it, believe me!

I bought my '93 from the original owner, who had the car religiously maintained. You're right - having the full service history is really, really nice.

So, they're gonna leave '94's and earlier out of the chat room, too? Boogers! That's not very nice. They must be afraid of us.

If you were Subaru would you want to chat with a bunch of SVX owners who have gone through 2+ transmissions?
