Court Results

I had my trial today for the speeding ticket I got last month. I talked to the prosecutor before the trial and he reduced it from 42 in a 25 to 39 in a 25, which will save me 2 pts and loads of insurance money. I had a decent defense going but decided that I'd rather lose the 2 pts than have a chance at keeping them all. The prosecutor was impressed at my research so he "let me off." Funny, every other person was "let off" with the same charge. Could it be because the court actually makes more money that way (Explain how the fine for 42/25 is $98, but 39/25 is $152 plus $30 court fees). Anyway I'm pretty satisfied, wish I could have gotten all the points taken away though.

P.S. On the way to dinner afterwards I saw 3 SVX's, the red and black ones I usually see (the black one was under a tarp, the red was at Party City) and I saw another red one at Quakerbridge mall that I had never seen before. It was all red, with missing decals under the windows, handicapped plates, and different exhaust tips.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Pennington, its pretty much a little like 1/2 mile wide town stuck in between Princeton and Lawrenceville. I actually found a newspaper article describing how they catch people doing exactly what I did and how it gives them a constant source of revenue. Two other people at the court got caught the same way I did (only one was doing 45, the other 41, I was doing 42). So a word to the wise, stay out of Pennington, NJ.

i guess i shall, seeing i have no clue where that is...but you must realize that a lot of towns in NJ, at least, do that...they reduce tickets, the ppl are happy, the town is happy...everyone wins

and about getting a ticket in your own town...NJ cops will avoid it at all costs...i know a few of the reasons, but i found that totally interesting....
