I've been Subaru Dealer challenged since buying my SVX. The nearest dealer was over 75 miles away and none to friendly, i.e., won't take VISA over the phone, never have the part I need in stock, means 300+ miles of driving to order, then pick up a part.

So, imagine my delight when I see a brand new building going up about 5 miles from me with a sign saying Subaru of Palm Bay - Opening Fall 2003. Keeping my fingers crossed they are a decent place I can do business with - using the Internet to mail order a lug nut sucks.

Good luck. Dealers not wanting to take orders seems to be a common thing with Subaru. My local dealer (15 miles away) won't order a part until you come down and pay for it. Then you wait 3 years for it to come in. As for the lugnuts...I've started ordering them in bulk...usually 3x as many as I need, just to make it worth it...also lug studs, go through them pretty often too. (had to replace 7/20 out since I got the car - 1.2 years since I bought it. Someone really did a # on it with an impact wrench before I got it.)

Hi everyone, Since I've been driving Subaru's, I have kept two lug nuts and two lug studs in my glove box just to be safe. Don't make any comments about my glove box Randy. Take care, BOBB
