Thank you to all who did work on the new site. It looks great. It is exciting to see the whole process work. Thank you to all of the officers and others who have done work on this, and I know it has taken many hours to do it. Thank you to all of the current dues paying members and those who have donated for start up money to keep this site going. I am proud to be part of this professional assn. Ok, I will stop the flag waving now, and go back to whatever I wa doing before. I am going to go wax the cars now.

Having not been paying attention
Could someone take a couple of minutes and bring me (and maybe some of the newer members) up to speed on what is happening with the NET and the ORG? I see this site on Lwin's link.. but not quite sure what the connections are or who is doing what. There's a lot of personal information that is asked for in the membership. Is there some type of privacy policy in place? How can I get more involved? Along with the memebership fee what else can I or we do?
As always, Thanks to everyone here that has helped me with my sometimes stupid questions and for putting up with what passes as my sense of humor!

Unca, This is the membership brochure that SVXTER posted and I mailed to join. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...=&postid=54239 It's hard to see if much progress has been made. I've posted inquiries also. Mebbe one of the "officers" will enlighten us. The new site still needs a lot of work.
B.edit: oops, I see the online membership link is now working, better use that one.

The SVX World Network is dedicated to being a SVX enthusiasts club in many ways. Of course a big part of that enthusiasm is having a place to express it, such as we have here on this forum. Running such a forum is not cheap - there are hosting fees, equipment to maintain, and general programming maintenance issues. Chris, our forum admin, runs and maintains the site for us to all enjoy. The club supports this site by paying for the hosting fees and providing funds for equipment on occasion. The club does not own the site...look at it as more of a partnership with a common goal. So, by joining the club, part of your dues go to support this forum, and the other part goes toward the organization so that we can do more things in the future such as merchandising, publishing SVX howto's and such things, organizing meets, newsletters and other things yet to be determined.
