My guess is that they dont realize the inner lights are fogs. It is a rather unconventional location for them.

Yeah, people see 4 headlights and automatically assume that your brights are on.

Do you find it's trucks that are flashing you more?

Do you have normal lights or xenon/plasma/overwattage?

Fog lights

I've been pulled over 4 times now b/c of my fog lights. Each time it was in rainy conditions (I usually don't drive with'em exept on some deer infested roads and in bad weather). It was always the same money hungry police department (Upper Allen Cumberland County PA). Each time I demonstrated that the cop was an idiot and that he had no reason to pull me over but each time the cop illegally ran my info (they can't do it unless they have a legit reason for pulling you over in PA)!

RE: Fog Lights

Just run ambers of some kind as fogs and you won't have these problems. Of course check that your lights are properly alligned. I replaced all my front lights with PIAAs and use crystal ion fogs from this place. www.autobulbdepot.com

How did I know he ran my info

Well after I explained that those are fog light the cops would go "uh huh", pause for them to spit their tobacco out, "license and registration please". 5-10 minutes later they would come back with my stuff in hand and no doughnut powder on their face I might add. What else would they be doing for that amount of time? At least they weren't dumb enough to give me a ticket any of the times. Its pretty much of a moot point now though as I can't locate the short in my fog lights so I don't have fog lights.
