Weak cylinder

Need some help here. I finished installing a manual and when I started it up one cylinder seems to be weak. Not a total misfire. It sounds like a lumpy V8 and you can feel a vibration when under power. Not nice and smooth like it should be. I pulled motor and had valves redone so no valve problem. Would a weak coil or bad injector cause this?

Re: Weak cylinder

Bad injector can and if you let it go on for too long it can lead to a clogged cat. Ask me how I know.

Re: Weak cylinder

While it's running disconnect the injector clips one by one until the idle has no change. That's your bad injector or misfiring cylinder

Re: Weak cylinder

Thanks for the reply. I decided to take the car to a local shop that specializes in Subarus. They checked it out and said the problem was the motor and tranny had very little play in the rubber mounts and what I was feeling was normal engine vibrations. Not sure I agree with that as the motor just sounds different even at idle. But I think I will just drive it and see how it goes.
