Interesting article, even mentions the SVX.

They also have a video:
ART Cryogenic/Slotted Rotors, Stainless Steel Brake Lines, PWR Radiator, Tranny cooler, Stebro, Earthworm's Poly Differential/front & rear swaybar bushings, Koni Inserts and Mychailo SVX Sport Springs all 4 corners, Indigo Blue paint. Liquid Silver Wheels.

Re: Subaru XT going up in value

Yes, the Alcyones are the only Subarus that Hagerty lists as being eligible for their collectible car insurance. I myself am lucky enough to own not only a fwd SVX L model (weighing in at 3350lbs), but also its previous equivalent: a 1985 fwd XT turbo. It weighs the same as my 81 4wd hatch..1100lbs less than its SVX stablemate and from what I've seen like 4-500lbs less than the much more ubiquitous 4wd turbos w/their air suspensions etc. That is a lot for a car this size! It reminds me of my friend's old Miata with a similar power to weight..I really love the breezy handling limits of the 175/13 tires. It always feels 10mph faster than you are really going. These cars are such polar opposites; the SVX is like having a giant as a friend. Can't imagine not having them both!
94 L, Barcelona Red, 68K, Nokian zLines, all original except for transmission cooler and powdercoated wheels
85 XT Turbo FWD, 117K No Leaks!
81 GL dual-range 4wd Hatchback desert rat, 111K 1st car: still have it;
also slumbering 84 300SD lawn ornament
