Hi, I'm brand new to SVXs as of late May or so of this year. We found one local when looking for a car for my son. The price seemed good and it looked good on the test drive, but turned out to need some pretty major repair work.

It's a neat little car that I'd like to help him fix eventually, but for now he's got something else, and it's for sale.

Major service: No records came with car; PO said (coil?) packs were done after he bought it 6+ years ago (in Texas); unknown beyond that.

Engine Condition: Needs head gasket (from all appearances - loses coolant). Drips oil. LH O2 sensor bad (same side as gasket problem). Runs strong though. See CL ad.

Maintenance Records: N/A

Transmission condition: Seems to shift well; makes a mild clunk when putting into reverse; fluid was clean.

Glass condition: Good

Type of tire and remaining tread: Nearly new treadwise; will have to look at for brand.

Type of wheels: Off of a Chrysler Concorde looks like, lol.

Interior condition: Pretty good; still had plastic film on front carpet when we got it, but is not pristine clean.

Body condition: A few dings, etc. Some damage to lower front end (see pic). No rust found. Paint clear coat peeling bad.

Known defects or problems: See CL ad.

Comments about the car: He likes it. I like it. First fwd car I've had my hands on in a long time. No time to work on it at present though. I'm starting it periodically and moving it around a bit, but no longer roading it.
