Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Put drilled/slotted rotors on the wife's forester while I wait for my .020 over pistons for my ej20 swapped forester S.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Finished installation of the black and grey cloth 05 Impreza front seats. Problems encountered and corrected: front mounting points about 1/2 to 3/4" further apart in the Impreza - new front and rear seat mounts fabricated from 1/8" steel bar (passenger side rears need lifting to clear outboard rail hitting the ABS controller- could have moved ABS box inboard we think), Impreza seat belt receiver slot too narrow for SVX belts (stole seat side receivers from old SVX seats). Slap the forehead issue - get seats from a two door car as 4 door cars seats do not tilt far enough forward to allow access to the rear seat - gonna live with it as we will not carry more than one passenger in this car.

Rear seat will require fabric stain/paint to go to black fabric next summer. Console is out to run audio / car pc cable to the trunk spare tire well where we have placed the amp, car battery, and eventually the car PC. Steering wheel is off to trial fit a three spoke STI wheel.

You're gonna need some big wheel spacers!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Not happening it was a case of "I really should have taken the Titan (which they are for) to work today" but the SVX is more fun and uses less gas

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Bought another one today (or more correctly, collected as I bought it two weeks ago along with another one from someone selling a pair).

Ruby pearl in colour.
ABS, cruise, 4WS
Drivers glass broken, stereo stolen (dash badly damaged along the way).
Boot (trunk) full of plaster (seller works as a plasterer and used this to carry his work tools & materials).

Radiator & main pulley removed, so couldn't be started. Bought it AS IS condition.
Trailer it to my favourite mechanic and turned it over (not seized) and thinks it will be a straight forward fix.

Unloaded it. Cleaned out the rubbish and will now start collecting parts to get it running. Intention will be to sell it once it is road legal, preferably to an enthusiastic who will complete the restoration.

Body is in quite good condition.
