Which side is the rear oxygen sensor ?

My 1992 JDM car showed a check engine light a while ago, so I took it to my mechanic to pull the codes.
He advised it was the rear oxygen sensor.

But now that I look at my parts car it seems that both oxygen sensors are side by side, so "rear oxygen sensor" doesn't make sense to me.

Attached is a photo of what I think are the oxygen sensors.
Does anyone know which one is rear vs front ?

Or is there another pair further towards the front that I haven't found ?

I think the sensors lower down in the photo are the oxygen sensors.
Have I got this right ?

I've started another thread asking what are the other two sensors in the photo (higher up the photo, closer to the back of the car).

Thanks, Shane

Re: Which side is the rear oxygen sensor ?

Ok I answered in the other thread but since you say in this one its a 92 I am baffled.

The "rear" o2 sensor is usually the one in or after the cat. The purpose of it is to determine if the cat is working.

Re: Which side is the rear oxygen sensor ?

Is there a way to text an oxygen sensor to determine if it's working correctly before we fit it ?
Is there a right and wrong way to clean an oxy sensor before fitting it ?
Normally I would have just fitted a new one, but I don't know which one is faulty (or even if it is faulty) and the Subaru dealer wants $600 per sensor (about $US500).
Needless to say SVX parts in NZ are usually privately imported rather than bought from the dealer.

Re: Which side is the rear oxygen sensor ?

Youtube has some videos on how to test them. I usually swap the 02 sensors with each other to determine if the trouble code follows before replacing.
