Odessey battery

hi, i just installed a new aftermarket stereo and subwoofer and radar detector and other accessories. i am looking at upgrading my battery because my battery goes dead after 10 mins of run time. This battery claims to be better than optima. but it is around 300 hundred dollars so before buying it i thought i would run it by the forums here are some links.

Re: Odessey battery

Have you installed the high output alternator oppose to the stock one yet? If not, I would suggest you look into that first. Plus, Optimas suck. What kind of setup are you running? I'm guessing you're running this while the car isn't running?

Re: Odessey battery

Some use a second battery for accessories.

Re: Odessey battery

my subs and amp are
800 Watt Subwoofer System
Two 10" MTX/Magnum Subwoofers
Magnum Dual 10" Sub Box Enclosure
Magnum 800 Watt Mono Block Amplifier
Slot Ported
i have 8 gauge wire going to the battery to the amp.
my lights dim when the bass hits.
wondering if this will shorten the life span of my interior and exterior lights on the car like headlights/illumation bulbs i got from radio shack.
i bought sub because the box fits the trunk and they were cheap.
yes while my car is not running the battery dies like 10 to 15 mins.
i ordered the odyssey battery got a good deal on one at apexbattery.com they gave me a xtra 10% off the clearance price.

stock alternator with the alternator wiring modifcation v4.
