Tips on maintenance

Hi All,

Recently I bought an Subaru Alcyone EG33 and my project is restore it.

Starting by the engine (to put it again on the road), I would like to receive some tips about how to Improve it´s performance.

I have a modest budget, but I have no problem in use some kind of existing kit or change any parts if needed.

Now it's in a workshop where I am doing maintenance in the fuel system.

If you can help me I would be glad.

If your Alcyone was built before 1996, then you cant go wrong with the following: http://www.ecutune.com/svx-stage2.htm

That plus a nice cold air intake and larger fuel injectors and you will be quite pleased with the improvement in performance.

Indeed it was built in 1992.

Thank you for the tip. Here in Brazil, it's a little hard to find parts and information about this machine.

Ahh, Brasil! It is wonderful to see that our cars are appreciated all over the world

I would also look into the Walbro 255 fuel pump. Its a nice upgrade over the stock pump with more quite a bit more flow. A quick search on this website will give you a good deal of information on it.

Just curious here. You say a new map and and larger injectors is sufficient to up performance?
