splitting the headlight
i know a lot of people did the clear lense kit by cutting it out but has anyone tried heatguning/ oven baking then headlight to separate it?

Yes a few people have opened them up that way. I did to a set on my old Svx

I think I had to add a min or so to the time to get the glue to let go. Oven at 225 for 7 mins then just using 2 small screw drivers pry the seam apart. After removing the clips of course. |

And don't use anything to clean the polished reflective inner surfaces,you will scratch them.
Just use some compressed air and maybe a very soft-bristled brush. Ask YT why he painted the entire insides of his headlights BLACK .
