Special paint?

I'm guessing that a previous owner of my car worked at an inner city branch of Tesco's, near to an opticians. The nearside has too many 'trolley' or 'car door' dings for my liking, and I can't see anything else when I walk up to it!
Do I need a specialist paint shop as it's black, but another colour in sunshine? Can't just remember what other colour as sunshine finished round here a few months ago. It's a JDM model in its original finish.
