The hubs do not have to be removed to install the lug studs, front or rear. A year or so ago, I had to replace one in the rear and about a month ago, one in the front. I don't remember specifically re the rear, but I did have to remove the back shield to get the stud in to start with. Then it was a pain to press it in, actually "pulling" it in the hole with a lug nut and washers ....... but it sure beats having to pull the hub ......

Thumbs up Re: Back on the beat - Phast's turbo SVX gets some love

Thanks guys!!

Got the car out and cleaned up on saturday. Attached are some pics of the new rims. I only catch like 4 or 5 threads and will definitely be replacing with some longer lugs. They look sweet though!

Car is at the shop. And not only will the T04S be going in but a MASSIVE intercooler to compliment it I will pretty much be running the car strictly on E-85 at 10lbs of boost using 2v7 and a Rising Rate FPR. I've let it with my close friend who plans to start on it this week. I will keep you all updated, but be prepared for some solid E-85 luvin.

I think I will let the pictures talk here. Courtesy of Dynotuned Performance, the best performance shop for SVX's.

Re: Back on the beat - Phast's turbo SVX gets some love

don't think you're going to get the performance numbers you'd like with that intake set up (what is that, duct tape over the turbo intake?)

Looks great, Phil!

Gotcha! Are you going to run a cone filter in the fender to get some cool air?

When do you think you'll have dyno numbers?

No cone! Just going to use a mesh screen for free flow of air. The turbo and the hotness will chop up and burn any debris that gets through the screens.

Also, will your battery pass a race day at the track or motor vehicle, with the battery appearing to be not bolted down?

I am looking forward to reading the results of this project.

Running without a filter is a risk. I may at some point mount one, but for now i will take my chances .The heat rise related to running a filter on a turbocharged car is probably comparable to having slightly higher ambiant temps under the hood.

The battery is harnassed around the bottom. The red-top has a flat square bottom with which the cells are mounted on.

My car is exempt from emmissions being over 15 years old, and my state has no safety inspections

I think you'll be fine without the filter. I was joking above. My outback was without a filter for a long while for test purposes and it runs just as good now as it did when it was new.....and that was 13 years ago.

Surprised to not see more turbocharged SVX's around.
