Weird Tranny Problems.

When my car is cold, the tranny shifts through all gears just fine at all speeds. One it is warmed up (after driving 5-10 minutes), the engine just races in all gears and the front part of the tranny starts smoking. If you shut it off and let it cool down, it will once again shift through all gears only to start revving again (in any gear) after 5 or so minutes of driving. Do I need a total rebuild? No tranny codes.

Michael when you lose all drive, do you lose 1st and reverse selected with the shifter?
If you do, it is most probably a lack of line pressure, that could be caused by:
1. A blocked oil pick-up screen in the pan.
2. A loss of pressure at the pump, due to a leak at the pump gasket.

The "smoke from the front part of the tranny". I
can't see this as being coming from the transmission itself, it is most likely to be coming from a leak at the cooler pipes that run from the front of the case. You have checked the ATF level in the box, I guess?

Harvey.

It revs in all gears including 1st and reverse. The tranny fluid level shows full.

That is exactly what my trans did. Tore it out, found the clutches all burned up, and rebuilt it. Sounds to me like you need a trans rebuild if your fluid level is correct as you said.
