Yup, had a '88 5spd AWD that I loved (but sold to get 1st SVX)

As far as the drag race goes, I think the most important question would be...does the rectractable door handle hinges still work on the XT6? That could be a major aerodynamic/ performance concern? That actually reminds me of all my friends that walked up to the car to get in, completely lost..."Um, how do I get in?"

Ooohhhh.....maybe I should not have posted this thread. XT6 has lost in round one.....in a bad way.

Gotta find a way to beat a stock SVX with the ole beater. ***Recedes back into the shadows***

My change is on the X in the 1/4... $.67 is what I have on me :O)
The SVX will definately blow it away in longer distances...

*Posted right before me, but my loyalty still starts with the X (can't change history)

While I'm sure the XT is no slouch, I'm sure it's motor can't compete with the smoothe, creamy, buckets of torque provided by the EG motor. Granted, it has 4.44's, but I just don't think it has the oompf to hold off the SVX.

1st run - 17.1
2nd run - 16.4

Thats all I could get in.

The SVX ran consistently at 16.01 so with some better driving (Kevin has his XT dialed in better than I do) I am sure the XT could see 15's and take the svx down... Just not last night.

I'll play the underdog, and bet on the XT6 (I know mine is faster than my SVX)....with the few mods and the 4.44's versus the 3.54 stock SVX, for sure in the 1/8, and probably still have it in the 1/4.....Looking forward to the results, either way

Opps...should've read all the posts first......

Gambler's night always suck at Atco. Those cars LOVE to spill their guts all over the track. Friday/Saturday it will be raining so.

Maybe a tweak or two before then will yield different results. I have an idea or two. Will see! I will post the new XT6 time slip here just for giggles. 16.01 --> **Spit** (I love SVXs folks.....). At least the 2nd run matched my old time in my sig.

With more time and some more runs under my belt I am sure I could have squeezed some 15's out of it but I just didn't have either. You should have NO problem doing it though
