I finally finished making a capacitor bracket today and just painted it. took several tries because nothing was turning out how I wanted, but here is the final version. It mounts vertically using the same points as the amp, so it just hangs there. used 6061 cause I like Al.

Ball joint is in the legacy wagon. Good thing I took it to American Tire to check the wheel balance otherwise I could be flipped in a ditch somewhere right now because of a fubared ball joint.

I think you need a new PCV valve. (dipstick sticking out) I like the painted lines on the intake though, I may do the same on mine eventually (but black, not red)

It was cracked a bit to begin with. But when I went to take the bolt out that tightens onto the ball joint, one of the "grabbers"(for lack of a better term) snapped the rest of the way off. Leaving nothing for the otherside of the bolt to grab onto to tighten onto the ball joint. There's about 1/3 of the ball joint exposed in the knuckle.

I had planned on doing the ball joint myself, but ran into the knuckle ordeal. I'm goin to a junkyard Sat. to get a new-used knuckle, then I'll see if I can replace it myself.

I'm just so ticke the f$#% off about it right now.

I have heard that kicking a dog or young kid will make you feel better, but don't claim to know anything about the effect of doing such things.

Haha, I wish. I'm fresh out of ideas of what to do now. Most likely won't be able to get to work on Friday. And it's through the work program at my tech. school so that won't look to good for me. I'm supposed to be the one with reliable transportation, but once again negative $h!t just happens to stick with me.

cap bracket mounted, cap installed

Here are 3 pics of what i finished tonight.

The first two pics are of the bracket mounted to the amps mounting points.
Third pic is of the cap installed and wired

The cap is suspended and is rather rigid. This allows the carpet to sit normal in the trunk and also allows me to still access the tail lights for replacement.
I achieved my goal of mounting it as close as possible to the amp, making no holes in the car, very sturdy and light mounting, and not effecting any work on the car in the future (like replacing that cracked tail light).

It looks good to me.

woke up at 6:30 am and fixed breakfast and packed lunch for kid,
7:30, hauled kid to school
7:45 went to parts store to wait till it opened so I could buy the thinner for Lady Di's silver,
8:30, moved the stuff that wife wanted to leave.
9:00-9:45, ran weed wacker and raked up the mess.(and trimmed some trees)
9:45 till 10:30, split logs and stacked them.
11:05 showed up at work (5 minutes late)
11:45 went for my DOT physical and passed with flying colors!! Guy doing the eye exam had to walk 10 feet closer to the chart that I was reading, so he could confirm what I said! (Looked at it with me new BIONIC eye)!!
7:30 PM, punched out and headed for the body shop!!
7:45, started stiring some 'Liquid Silver', and running a 'tac-rag' over Di's car.
8:15 pm, started shooting 'Liquid Silver' basecoat.
9:30, started shooting clearcoat.
11:30 pm started cleaning spray guns.
12:15 am, arrived home, loaded the car with some metal that Bro needed to finish the rough in on the 41 Chevy P/u.
12:45 am, booted up to see what you guys did with YOUR day!
OTHER than THAT, I didn't do anything today!!
