SVX price

I found a a 92 ebony and pearl w/140k blown tranny for $1,500 or best offer. I'm waiting to here about the body and will try to go see it. What would be a fair price to offer them?

Yea it's 2 hours away and I will need to rent a trailer to get it to my house. That's one of the biggest thing for me. Thanks for the advice

Check the engine bay, body and interior (does the sunroof work smoothly?, do all of the windows work?, are the windows scratched?, what condition is the windshield in?, do all of the lights in the dash/switches work?, any evidence of long standing water in the trunk?, does it still have the original radiator?, are there any tears in the seats?, did the owner smoke?,are the rocker covers leaking oil?). Since it isn't driveable, you won't be able to tell if it needs wheel bearings. I agree that $1,200 isn't out of the question if you find more than ~12 issues with the car.

I would agree. If you can't drive it and there are that many things wrong with it, ~$1,000 to $1,200 would be a fair price. Good luck.

Consider the body to be in fair shape if none of the body panels needs to be replaced, and there's no rust HOLES in it.

if prettymuch everything but the tranny works, and the body is fair, it should be worth the 1250-1500 for it. if the car is really nice, and the underbody isnt rusty, don't hesitate to give him the full asking price. Im sure he'll apreciate getting the car's worth if that's the case

I paid $800 for mine, and everything worked but the tranny and the AC... Here's what I'd do... Get the asking price in cash, in case he's super firm, put whatever you are going to offer him, say $1000, in your wallet, and the rest in your pocket or whatever, and after you go over the car, tell him you have $1000 cash, if he doesn't bite, you still have the full amount, but if he does, you've saved $200, although he has something of a bargaining chip in the fact you're driving quite a distance to get it, and aren't all that likely to leave empty handed... $1200 is a decent price if it's in really good shape though...

Thanks guys, I never got the email back. So I will call them this week to see if they still have it. If that's the case I need a truck and a trailer to get it home
