Weird enough, but it only was maybe twice. I did get all sorts of nervous about it, and checked all (as in ALL) of the fluids, but they were all good. Dashboard temp gage was fine, although I know that it really only tells you that you're in big trouble, but if it was the engine heating up the tunnel like that, I'd like to think that it would have registered as such.
I'm just grateful that it hasn't repeated to that extent.

My transmission hump gets just enough heat for me to barely even feel it when I put my hand on it. Sometimes I wonder if it's just my leg being there that makes the hump warm, not the transmission itself. I certainly don't think my transmission gets that hot.
Under the hood on the other hand...gloves are needed if the car hasn't sat overnight...
