Quick Question

Need an exhaust pipe for my '92. Muffler shop called it the head pipe, comes off engine on driver's side. Subaru calls it the exhaust pipe ($700) and says it has the cat in it. Do I need one off a '92 if I go to the wrecker's, or will other years do?

Great.
This may be a stupid question, but here goes. Now the wreckers have one in good shape Except that's its cracked where it goes into the crossover section. Can you adapt that to work? Mine's cracked before the cat...could they marry the 2?

as long as it is not cracked before the cross over it should be fine unless the pipe is bent

Well, I guess I'm getting under her tonight and taking a look...$700 just seems alot for one pipe...or what do you suggest? You've got the info and experience, I've just got the car! And I love her!

He wants $195. I was referred to a good bunch of guys at a mechanic shop here and they say no problem marrying the 2 if the rust depending on what shape they are in.
