Yeah I played it....I just couldn't lighten the car enough or get 1080 hp in it like the Nissan Skyline....It was still fun to drive though.

They put an L model in, though. WHy wouldn't they put an LS-L or LSi depending on the year of the car?

When you upgrade the aero package it makes the car look like the LSi with the japanesse wing. Still every car in WMMT2 drives like an AWD/RWD the only difference is how heavy the car feels, Mine is already 800HP and drives just like any other car in the game.

The latest thread with the list of games is here:

JaySVX: If you're talking about that picture posted there that says "Version L" on it, from Wangan Midnight... keep in mind that it's the Japanese Version L, not the American Version L. The Japanese Version L had the speed-sensitive steering, Active Electronic 4WS, VTD-4WS and all the other goodies. Out of the original two versions of the SVX in Japan (Version E and Version L) the Version L was the high-end.

Ah Wangan Midnight. I've been playing that game since it came stateside. I have a SVX at 815 myself (though I run it at 720/B) probably my favorite car in the game.

Interestingly enough it's what inspired me to get the car. I was playing the game and wanted a new machine, so I bought an SVX cause no one drives it. (all the punk kids have skylines and evos) Anywho my buddy who works there walks up and says "Oh sweet dude, the SVX is ****ing cool... Hey you know there's one on craigslist in milwaukee right?" I responded with the classic chin stroking "Oh really?..." and the rest, as they say, is history.

fyi for all you WMMT savy, I got the 815 by not losing, not through miles.

I got shaded as soon as I got to the first person in the A rank my first run through story mode... it was my first time playing WMMT2... But it's true what you say. NO ONE uses the SVX, NO ONE. It's really cool using it because people crowd around trying to figure out what I'm using. I've beaten some people with it, and it's really sweet.

But I thought the only way to get 815 was to be unshaded. Is there another way?

I've been playing WMMT2 a lot lately... and I dont know what is it to be unshaded

Right now Im two races from finishing story mode, my SVX is already 800HP but I've noticed you can get one or two extra slots for power or handling... I just dont know how to get them.

Look at your card. You know the dots you get for beating Story Mode levels? If they're filled in, you're "shaded." If they're empty you're "unshaded." Unshaded means you've never been defeated in Story Mode. If you beat Story Mode up to Stage 80 and are unshaded then you get both of those extra slots (815 HP max). If you're shaded and beat up to Stage 80, you'll have 810 HP instead.

...but Nonstop says there's a way to get 815 HP being shaded...?

Heh. Well I figured it out while at work. To get the extra 5 HP if you've been defeated, you have to get 5000 km on your car. Which is fine for those of us normal players it was designed to help out, since with 40 plays through story mode or something I already have about half that.

Yeah that's it. Get 5000 miles and you can get that final tuning point. I'm kinda pissed, I lost my unshaded SVX, I think I left it on the machine and someone stole it. No matter, I have my first SVX, which still has 810.

There's actually a lock in at my local arcade today, I was thinking about recording a race or 2. You know, cause I'm so lame like that.
