Maybe a slightly more diplomatic approach to educating him, without the use of pejorative terms like "idiot" might have worked?

Or inviting him to check out a forum where people are laughing at him?

No?

Some people are just too, too sensitive, are they not?

Joe

There are always folks who don't know what they are talking about, and they usually talk the most, as I found out one day when considering buying a Datsun 280-ZX from a private seller. He ranted and raved about the car (but was anxious to sell), and then he said, "You know, since Nissan bought out Datsun, the prices of these cars are going to skyrocket!" Wisdom speaks.

Admit it everyone, sometimes we actually enjoy the sellers that "dont have a clue" what they are selling. I cant count the number of times I have snagged something by the seller listing it wrong or something equally "stupid"

Ya, there's one car that I've seen frequently on Ebay, the seller says it's a 32 valve engine.

Got to love those new cylinder heads with 5.3 valves per cylinder

Or, if you want a laugh, go to AutoTrader.com and take a look at the '92 SVX for sale for $11,500.00, blue and silver. Seller says this color combo was only available in '92 making it a rare collector car. Hmmmmmmmmm

They're saying that despite the guy's complete lack of intelligence in the products he's selling, he was still a viable source of SVX parts. Well, until somebody flamed him and gave him the link to the site.

We don't need any more sources for parts in all reality, Especially not one that just makes crap up to fill space in an ebay ad.

in the current state of Ebay as of last night I was disgusted. There are probobly 10 cars on there in parts... why? because these people take a car and part it out to get 1 or 2 parts from and shell the rest. most of which coul dbe repaired easily. I am sorry but it is a disgrace and completely disgusts me. No on should take pride in disassembling an SVX. Unless there are legal restraints that cannot be worked out or it has suffered severe damage.

Tom

To me, this sounds like the business side of you trying to keep competition low.

As for GreenMarine... you should think more carefully when linking our site, as you make yourself a representative of it, and not necessarily the type of representation we want.
