From what I understand, yes, japan likes the USDM stuff. Seems the only way to stand out is to use EDM stuff (Cooler than JDM anyways)

Hah, burgers. Thats awesome

I would take the silver one.

That thing on the grey one's bumper is the old-style parking guide. It was popular in Asia.

If I go back home-home, I want to buy one from Japan lol. JDM SVX has 240ps stock and more high-tech features. The silver one looks nice to me and I ain't worrying about the OBD2 - I won't do a lot of heavy mods.

Just amazed how low mileages from the cars there.

If I am not mistaken unless your car is considered a classic or something there is a 100k mile limit before the car has to be sold and is deported overseas. Which is why I think New Zealand and Australia have such a large JDM grey market, while you see many older Japanese cars in other southeast Asian countries.

We don't have JDM models here in Ozz. If a car model was sold here as an Aust model, then you can't import the same car, as Gray import. If it was not sold here, like all the Skylines etc. they can be imported.

Harvey.

My bad, didn't think that if a certain JDM model can is not illegal to import than it is not a gray import. But anyone me if that 100k mile limit for drivable cars in Japan is true?

There is no mileage limit or age in Japan.

Very true. It is actually the taxes that drive the low mileage use. Taxes increase with the age of the vehicle.

If you had to cut the car into two pieces to bring it over, just have the roof taken off, it's the easiest way...then find a good welder

Sounds like an idea Matt, but they would not go for it.

I'm fairly sure what Harvey means is the only way they can get JDM SVXs into Australia is as front cuts.

Hey, while you have the roof off, you could fit four or six explosive bolts and an ejector seat.

That would be taking the jet fighter canopy analogy to its logical conclusion.
