Front left hub w/ bearing, timing belt etc...
The car is a 95 AWD LS. I noticed a low humming sound when I got it last week, but thought it may be the wheels...brought it in and they said the wheel bearings on the front left side are going wonderful!
I also need the following: Right tranny hose: They said it's too short and is rubbing on something? Timing belt: Ahh!! Front crankshaft seal: Wouldn't I be leaking oil if this was bad? Hopefully they aren't trying to take me for a ride...might have to bring it to an import shop instead of the deal next time Thanks everyone! |

Tell them the front crank seal is new. I replaced it in that car a week before you bought it. Also the tranny fluid is brand new, so don't get it flushed. As far as the belt and hose, probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

ugh :P
Thanks Dan! They told me the tranny fluid was really bad and needed to be changed, so i checked it...thought it looked brand new! I won't be going to the dealership again unless absolutely necessary. I didn't think the seal was bad either, as I haven't noticed ANY leaks. Oh well, lesson learned...

Ugh
:P I guess not right now...the other day my power steering went out, so I now have to fix that!
It doesn't even make any sense...i brought the car in to get checked, and they never mentioned the power steering pump. I started noticing the steering being difficult last week, so i checked the fluid. It was very low so I added some...i went for a couple hour drive to my parents, and it was low again. I had someone turn the wheel while the hood was open, and heard this horrible grinding sound coming from the pump. ...I'm guessing that can't be a good thing So anyway...I guess I'm replacing that before I can replace the wheel hub! Maybe in a couple weeks. I'll let you know...thanks!! |

sounds like you have a PS leak and not a faulty pump... The pump will make those noises when the tank is empty or low... Try and find the leak 1st
