Voltage Stabilizer (new cool item)

I see alot of new products come and go
recently I had a whse offer me this new item they
called a Voltage Stabilizer basically. It stores power
in a way I guess so you dont have to pull it from the
battery, so you put less of a load on your alternator
less often.
Its suppose to add a few extra hp.
This is what I can tell you customers have told me since
they have installed them on their cars.
Everyones loved them, some felt some hp gains, some
just noticed the cars idle and ran smoother then before.
AC and other accessories seemed to work better and so on.
I was apprehensive on selling them, but it seems every person
who has bought one comes back a few weeks later with nothing
but good things to say about it. Its about the best $85 they've
spent. Most everyone all says that their mpg went up noticeably
too.
It installs in 5 min too. I decided to fill up my tank and install one on
my silver car today. Im curious now how well it works on an Svx.
Just wanted to post it up there and Ill let you know how it goes
after this or the next tankful

Do it!! I've been meaning to order the GREEN filter oil cleaning kit thing, but I want to order something else with it to not waste shipping (broke ass student...who was it that said SVX owners were cheap? lol). So yea, I want hp!! If it works, I'll get the underdrive pulley too. I'm guessing it'll even out then, and I'll get more hp without those power problems I keep hearing about.

Im optimistic

like I said, every person (over 10 of them) who has bought
one has been fully satisfied.
I really dont care about the hp gains, although it makes sense
but if my mpg goes up even a little, Ill be a happy camper.

Please explain exactly how this thing/stuff could/does make a difference to any engine having existing electrical accessories in good order. Just how does it "make sense" in any shape or form? Those who have spent money no doubt have to justify their purchase mindwise to stay happy chappies. Not unusual and results in many false recommendations for snake oil.

I don't want to discourage your trying it and giving an objective report on it, but I can't see how this could benefit either.

I've been thinking about it from a technical standpoint, and it only seems like it could be a replacement for an extra battery (it is a capacitor, right). Since a car doesn't need a battery to run (only start and run accessories with the engine off), this couldn't bypass the need for the alternator to work (at least not for more than a couple seconds at most).

Not tryin' to be an arse, Dayle... just my attempt at a logical $.02. Heck, I hope it can be one of those beneficial things that don't seem to follow logic.

Take a look at this http://www.999automotive.com.au/XCS.php

Ignore the bold red print on the graphs, read the power data.

Make up your own minds.

Why has the drag changed so much?

Gentlemen, I rest my case.

I've read about alot of simular systems (not this peticular one) in magazines. Most of the magazines were also skeptical about it. But everyone I've seen tested has show between 3 to 7 hp gains. The basic idea is that the capacitor will charge and discharge as necessary to stablize the cars electrical system. This allows for better voltage going to the ignition system. This intern allows for a better spark output and more even burn of fuel. I've was considering getting one when I was having all the problems with frying my coils.

You guys who dable in sound systems should kind of understand this. It's simular to the Capacitors used with amplified systems.

thanks buddy, nice info.
it doesnt cost me a dime to try it for a few weeks, thats just
forturnate for me being in the business Im in.
if mpg goes up, great. then I can sell it with more confidense that
it "worked for me"
As long as customers who buy it are happy and come back with postive comments, everyones happy.
I hope it works for me like it did for prev customers.
also, Svx owners who want one can get it for about $65
