The EG33 is gone, so is the tranny. I'd really like to see this thing when it is done.

you can see that the engine and trans are out in the pictures due to the height of the suspension...

We pulled the engine out to spray the engine bay, to do the paint job right, the interrior is also stripped. The EJ33 may go back into it it may not...

I can guarantee you that there won't be an EJ33 going into that engine bay

What the hell is going on here... the last 15 posts have beat around the bush in much of a confusing way...

So WRX wheels will fit on your car??? That's great... How are you planning on doing that???

NO, an Imprezia Suspension will not work on the SVX... The Rear mounting on the SVX is waaaay too high... Why would you even want to use Impreza brakes on that thing?? That's a downgrade for sure....

Is the engine in the car or not?? If now what is going back in the car?

Youguys are talking about building something great here, but all I've seen sofar is talk of things that are not normally attempted on SVXi. So to avoid looking stupid, how bout providing some facts and research on what you are planning on doing instead of just saying a bunch of things and leading everyone around in circles...

I think thats the point. They want everyone to wait in suspense... Which is kinda stupid because at this point... its old news already

I am gonna ask you the same question I ask everyone who wants to do a 4 cylinder swap... please do not et offended or pissed. Why swap in an inferior motor? I mean, you are going to have to rework the exhaust turbing anyway so why not just turbo the EG33?? It would be easier in the long run and make more power... Might need to take a less "cookie cutter" route to get there but would be more impressive than a 4cylinder... Like I said, this is my view on the situation at hand... Those engines do not prduce much torque and I think you will wish you still had some low end when all is done

If you are wondering how we are doing this, Front and rear subframes, with a tein SSP, a brand new set of 4 pots off of an 06 wrx. So the brakes are the same if not better than the svx ones.

well you get 230 horse out of the box so it is the same as the svx, a vf-34, exhaust, and some tuning brings it to 300 wheel horse. It is just that the aftermarket for the ej25 is so much better. Also we picked up the whole setup for 5200. I love the ej33 it is big, strong, and it sounds frickin sweet. Its just the set up hasn't been done before and we were looking to do something completly unique. Thats why we did that paint job, and thats why we chose this car in the first place.

understandable but you are not hearing me correctly... How are you gonna get this hog off the line... This much weight backed by a turbo 4cylinder just doesn't make any sense to me... like I said, this is my opinion. You could have a stage 3 pushing 12lbs of boost and all the torque you could want for much less. plus the option to work the motor and make MUCH more power than you will out of the 2.5. Oh well I fully back your project and all the luck to you...quick Q though, is it simple to swap the subframes or will you be doing a lot of retrofitting??

Tom
