The BEST trip to the gas station EVER!

I went to the gas station today to fill the tank and when I pulled up to the pump, I looked at the prices on the pumps screen. It said:

REGULAR:2.589
PLUS:2.659
PREMIUM:.274

Needless to say, someone screwed up and I got 14+ gallons for $4.05

They fixed it right after I filled up too.

YAY FOR ME!

I'd been satisfied with the $2.74. It's $3.29 out here.

Thanks California!! We love your whacky 91 octane fuel!

I have everything from 91-94 at my disposal around here. I usually stick with 93 unless I'm feeling frisky. Then I go for 94. vvrrooommm!vvvrrooommmmmmmm!

On the west coast that vroom vroom sounds more like sputter sputter. I really think 91 octane is really pushing it with an SVX. I can literally tell a difference with a can of octane booster, and I couldn't do that in TN.

Hell, I can tell a difference between 93 and 94. It runs much better with 94 and it really likes a bottle of octane boost on top of that too.

My subis, (that usually get 20- 28 mpg ) have been averageing 15 mpg since the price went up!!! The d$%^&ed stuff won't make any power or mileage!!!

I can pay for quality, and get garbage!! Since the same guy ownes ALL the tankers that drop fuel here, and he is a GREEDY S.O.B.!!! You better fuel up before you get here!!! It's all the same!! GARBAGE!!!!!!

15 is my norm. On two separate SVX's. Both tuned normally, and I drive conservatively.

So it is the gas! I've always suspected it when quite a few here say they are getting over 20 on the interstate.
