Rant
I must be spoiled by this site. I joined the B15Sentra site after I got my Spec-V. Dear good I thought NASIOC was bad at times. THe Sentra site makes going to the NASIOC like walking into church for Sunday Mast. You cant even introduce yourself after joining without getting flamed.

Yup, we are definitely 'spoiled' on the svx network. I've also encountered a lot of scary forums out there...

Heh, I actually started out on Nasioc in '02 when it wasn't as harsh. Think of it as a bitter, jaded woman who's had one too many bad dates. They're quick to attack because of the sheer number of complete idiots that joined the site when the wrx came out. Imagine if they brought the SVX back and a bunch of machismo ricers bought them and flooded the site with "yo dog, you wanna meet up at taco bell and we'll battle in the parking lot? Gotta keep it off the street so the pigs won't get us. Yo, the 2.5rs is WEAK."
Best bet is to make like Jane Goodall, stay hidden for a while and study them, then stealthily and silently incorporate yourself into the group. Introducing yourself is a lot like walking up to a lion and yelling "Hi kitty!" and attempting to pet it. It's actually a pretty tight knit community. I've met quite a few members and built good friendships with a lot of them. Seriously, our bark is worse than our bite.  I will say that so far this site is scary nice. Maybe I'm just too used to the hazing, but I'm still waiting for someone to bash me for being a woman, haha.

We look at this as a family site and that is why the moderators and administrators are so quick to correct things that go bad. Like immortal_suby said, it is usually great around here and we have very few problems.
